I was very disapointed by the education offered to my child at Cammeraygal High School. My concerns are listed below: - My child's teachers wre sloppy and could not care less about my child's rapidly dropping grades. There are only a few teachers who genuinely care about the students education- Levels are a form of disipline at this school yet they are not effective. My child has informed me that no student could care less about levels, therefore they are not changing any students behaviour-Last year there was an issue with the wi-fi at this school, it was terrible. My child had resorted to using their own data to do their schoolwork, wasting my money. What makes it even more shocking is that the teachers suggested this! The IT people are disgraceful-Last year there were many incidents where students were pulling the school fire alarms as a joke, this caused a lot of stress on teachers and students who were not aware it was a joke, it caused my child a lot of unwanred stress.-There are very limited extra curricular clubs for children who are not interested in sport, there are no clubs where the students can really be themselves and show their true potential outside of the government curriculum- There is a lot of homophobia, racism and transphobia at this school that the teachers do not address at all. This is a major problem and no one does anything about it, its disgusting that some lgbtq+ dont feel safe at this school- The canteen is overpriced and the food is not to a high standard. They say some pastries are homemade but are rumoured to be store bought and reheated! How do they expect high school students without a lot of money or without a job to afford to buy lunch.I decided early this year to transfer my child to a different school with education that will make my child thrive. I highly reccomend, from parent to parent, get your child out now!
